We’re all so conditioned to finding the romance in Hollywood movies that we sympathize with JGL when we should be taking a step back and realizing he’s a dumbass.

Summer and Tom were both dumbasses in the movie. Tom for trying to get commitment out of someone who wasn’t comfortable with that and Summer for pursuing something casual with someone who was looking for love
